• Celebrating 50 years, 2017

"The life of the law has not been logic: it has been experience." -Oliver Wendell Holmes

Counselor. Negotiator. Businessperson. Master of Tact. Problem Solver. Truth-Seeker. Problem Avoider. Creative Thinker.

Founded by Michael "Mike" Moriarty, the Moriarty Law Firm ("MLF") celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. As we look back on our shared accomplishments with our clients, we move forward with excitement about what the next 50 years will bring.

In addition to a diverse general plaintiff's practice, attorneys and staff at MLF have extensive experience in personal injury law, commercial and business litigation, and business brokering. There have been changes of names, locations, processes and people over the years, but the founding principles of providing outstanding legal counsel will always be the same. Clients always say they feel at home when they are at the Moriarty Law Firm.

  • Our Philosophy

50 years ago, Mike Moriarty started representing injured clients. He chose this area of law because he recognized the need to champion the rights of the average citizen. When another person or company has wronged you, having a voice and defending your rights can be a daunting and difficult task. Mike and Erren work hard to ensure that each client is heard. They fight hard to achieve the best results possible for their clients.
In 1999, the Moriarty Law Firm moved from downtown Houston to the Historic Heights District. Located at 404 Heights Blvd., the two-story Victorian house was completely renovated. This location allows clients to avoid the traffic and congestion of downtown Houston.

  • The Red Zone Lawyers.

The Red Zone Lawyers® is a name that Mike has adopted and trademarked. In football, the "Red Zone" is the part of the field from the opponent's 20-yard line to the opponent's goal line. It becomes harder to score a touchdown in the Red Zone. How well a team performs in the Red Zone often determines the outcome of a game. The Litigation Red Zone is when it gets tough to deal with a legal claim or a case. In this zone, one needs a legal professional to call the right plays in order to be successful.
The Moriarty Law Firm has been making the right calls for its clients for 50 years and will continue to do so. The lawyers and staff of the firm strive to work hard for their clients. The Moriarty Law Firm takes pride in offering sound legal representation to their clients in what is often a stressful situation. Most importantly, Mike and Erren treat their clients like family. If you need help with a case, you can trust that Mike and Erren will do their best for you.
