Michael was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Spring Hill College in Alabama where he graduated in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to attend law school at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas where he became a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honor fraternity (Magister - 1966-67, Outstanding Senior - 1967), receiving his law degree in 1967.
Mike was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1967 and the State Bar of Colorado in 1985. He is admitted to practice before U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, U.S. District Court, Southern and Western Districts of Texas. He is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury and Trial Law and is a member of the Houston and American Bar Associations; State Bar of Texas; College of the State Bar of Texas; Texas Trial Lawyers Association and The American Association for Justice.
Mike’s 50+ years of experience has given him an extensive knowledge of Texas law which he uses to help injured people fight their battles against corporate giants.
Mike is a board member and the attorney for the Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP). He and his wife, Melna, are long-time animal rights advocates and have lent their support and their home to foster rescued animals. Mike and Melna have 4 children and 8 grandchildren.
